U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows of $462.7 million across the four-session trading week from September 8–11, while Ethereum ETFs attracted $196.9 million. Solana funds also finished in positive territory, drawing $9.7 million, whereas Hyperliquid products lost $26.5 million.
The four ETF categories tracked by Farside Investors recorded a combined net outflow of $282.6 million. U.S. markets were closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day, so the reporting period covered Tuesday to Friday.
Bitcoin funds lost money in every session. Outflows increased from $46.6 million on Tuesday to $120.2 million on Wednesday and $282.7 million on Thursday, before easing to $13.2 million on Friday. The week’s losses reduced part of the $986.7 million gained by the same products during the previous trading week.
ARK 21Shares’ ARKB suffered the largest weekly outflow among individual Bitcoin ETFs, losing $234.2 million. Its $164.3 million withdrawal on Thursday accounted for much of the total. Grayscale’s GBTC recorded $129.1 million in outflows, including $65.5 million on Tuesday and $36.4 million on Thursday.
BlackRock’s IBIT ended the week down $52.5 million. It received $10.7 million on Tuesday but then lost $19.5 million on Wednesday, $24.5 million on Thursday and $19.2 million on Friday. Fidelity’s FBTC fell by $50.7 million and VanEck’s HODL lost $13.1 million.
Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was among the few Bitcoin products to attract investment, gaining $19.7 million across the four sessions after recording inflows each day. Bitwise’s BITB finished $1.9 million higher, although its $14.5 million inflow on Tuesday was largely cancelled out by a $12.6 million outflow on Thursday.
The figures represent subscriptions and redemptions in U.S.-listed funds, rather than direct Bitcoin purchases or sales by individual investors. A regulatory filing previously showed Jane Street held more than $1 billion in spot Bitcoin ETF shares at the end of June, including roughly $828 million in IBIT. That position related to an earlier quarter-end and does not establish the firm’s activity during this week.
Ethereum funds reverse earlier losses
Ethereum ETFs began Friday with a combined weekly outflow of $19.5 million. Tuesday brought a $24.3 million loss, followed by a $34.7 million inflow on Wednesday and a $29.9 million outflow on Thursday. Friday’s $216.4 million gain turned the weekly result into a $196.9 million inflow.
BlackRock’s ETHA provided $148.8 million of Friday’s total and finished the week up $139.9 million, despite an $18.6 million outflow on Thursday. BlackRock’s staked Ethereum fund, ETHB, added $55.1 million, including $22.9 million on Wednesday and $18.3 million on Friday.
Bitwise’s ETHW gained $29.1 million, all on Friday, while VanEck’s ETHV attracted $3.7 million that day. Fidelity’s FETH lost $3.9 million for the week after a $25.2 million outflow on Thursday outweighed inflows on Tuesday and Friday.
Grayscale’s ETHE recorded $17.3 million in outflows. Its smaller ETH fund lost $11.8 million, with a $24.6 million Tuesday withdrawal exceeding later gains. Ethereum ETFs had attracted $215.3 million in the preceding week, based on Farside’s daily totals.
Morgan Stanley’s second-quarter filing previously showed it held about 16.5 million shares in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF after increasing its position by 23%. The filing also detailed exposure to Ether and Solana, but those quarter-end figures do not identify the investors responsible for the latest flows.
Solana gains, Hyperliquid falls
Solana ETFs recorded their only positive session on Wednesday, when they received $11.2 million. Losses of $0.7 million on Tuesday, $0.5 million on Thursday and $0.3 million on Friday left the group with a weekly gain of $9.7 million.
Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $9.5 million of the total, taking in $11.2 million on Wednesday before losing $1.4 million on Thursday and $0.3 million on Friday. VanEck’s FSOL gained $0.9 million on Thursday, while its TSOL fund added $0.5 million on Tuesday. Grayscale’s GSOL lost $1.2 million on Tuesday and recorded no further net movement.
Hyperliquid ETFs posted $26.5 million in weekly outflows. Farside recorded losses of $13 million on Tuesday, $5.3 million on Wednesday and $8.2 million on Friday, with no net movement on Thursday.
Bitwise’s BHYP lost $20.2 million, including $8.1 million on Tuesday, $5.3 million on Wednesday and $6.8 million on Friday. The 21Shares THYP fund lost $6.3 million across Tuesday and Friday, while HYPG recorded no net flow.
