Dataline, a decentralised data network designed for AI agents, has raised $10.6m in seed funding and plans to hold a public token sale.
The funding round was co-led by Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital, with participation from Symbolic Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Anagram, and Robinhood co-founder and chief executive Vlad Tenev, according to co-founder Nuo Shi.
Other investors included a former head of the CFTC, along with founders or partners from Venmo, Anchorage Digital, NEA, General Catalyst, Jump Capital and FalconX.
The round closed in April through a simple agreement for future equity (SAFE) accompanied by a token warrant. Shi declined to disclose Dataline’s valuation. She added that none of the investors received a board seat, observer role or advisory position.
Data network for AI agents
Dataline offers onchain and offchain data that AI agents can access and pay for when required. Developers can connect their agents to those sources through a single platform.
The company also uses AI to assess data according to its reliability, freshness and consistency, allowing agents to judge whether information can be trusted before acting on it.
“For example, a stablecoin priced at $0.97 could be a bargain or the start of a depeg, and a simple price feed / API can’t tell the difference,” Shi said.
“Dataline pairs the pricing data with context on peg stability and cross-venue outliers, so bots, smart contracts, and people know which one they’re looking at.”
Shi identified Chainlink, Pyth, The Graph and Grass as competitors, but said Dataline had been built specifically for AI agents.
The platform is already live and supports about 50 data sources. Its first “AI Data Launch” group includes Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Sui and TON.
Developers building on Base and Robinhood Chain will receive free access to Dataline.
Token launch plans
Dataline intends to launch its token by the end of this year. The token will be used for payments and access across the network, while users will be able to lock tokens to maintain access to data feeds instead of paying a recurring subscription.
The company also plans a public token sale on Base through Uniswap’s Continuous Clearing Auction (CCA) system. Dataline is working with Uniswap and expects to announce the sale details next week.
Shi said the company hopes it will be the largest Uniswap CCA held on Base, but declined to disclose the fundraising target, number of tokens available or other terms.
After launch, data providers will have to stake tokens when submitting information. If customers accept the data, providers will be paid and have their tokens returned. Providers supplying regular feeds will keep tokens locked as a quality guarantee.
Rejected data will first be reviewed by AI, with a network vote used if necessary. Providers whose submissions fail the review will lose their tokens, which will be added to the reward for another provider.
Dataline plans to take a share of data payments but has not started charging fees. Its foundation also intends to generate revenue by supplying its own data.
The funding will be used to add data sources, improve verification and expand into robotics and AI training data. Dataline was founded in 2025 after winning a BNB Chain AI hackathon, and its team is mainly based in Europe and North America. Shi did not disclose its headcount or hiring plans.
