U.S. bitcoin ETFs attracted $526.60 million in net inflows on Monday, more than twice the $229 million withdrawn during the whole of last week, with BlackRock’s IBIT accounting for almost all of the turnaround.
IBIT drew $665.16 million in its strongest single-day inflow of 2026. That more than offset $83.63 million in outflows from Fidelity’s FBTC and a further $54.93 million withdrawal from Grayscale’s GBTC.
Trading in bitcoin ETFs reached $2.09 billion, while total net assets ended the session at $105.46 billion. Monday’s inflows almost completely reversed the previous week’s losses in a single day.
The move represented a sharp change for IBIT, which had lost about $165 million last week before attracting more than four times that amount in one session. The increase in demand provides bitcoin with a stronger institutional backdrop at the start of the week.
The gains were not reflected across the wider crypto ETF market.
Ether ETFs recorded another $103.28 million in outflows. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for $95.40 million of that total, while Fidelity’s FETH lost $5.96 million and Grayscale’s ETHE shed $1.92 million.
Trading in ether ETFs was worth $497.26 million, with net assets falling to $14.77 billion.
Ether ETFs had already lost $320 million last week, meaning the latest nine-figure withdrawal extended a sustained period of weakness. By contrast, bitcoin funds recovered their entire previous-week deficit within hours.
The differing flows indicate that institutional investors are being selective about where they rebuild crypto exposure after reducing risk in October.
Solana ETFs also remained under pressure, recording an 11th consecutive day of outflows.
Bitwise’s BSOL lost $4.88 million and Fidelity’s FSOL recorded a $1.84 million withdrawal, leaving the group with a net outflow of $6.72 million. Net assets closed at $1.63 billion.
The latest losses followed two successive record weeks of outflows for solana ETFs, suggesting that institutional demand for higher-beta crypto exposure continues to weaken.
Grayscale’s ZCSH recorded $10.45 million in outflows, leaving net assets in Zcash funds at $601.70 million.
NEAR continued to move in the opposite direction to the broader market. Bitwise’s NRR attracted $5.42 million, taking its net assets to $86.95 million. XRP and HYPE ETFs recorded no net flows.
BlackRock is also seeking to expand the ways investors can gain exposure to bitcoin. The asset manager filed on Monday for the iShares Bitcoin Managed Protection ETF, which would use the proposed ticker PBIT.
The actively managed fund would use options linked to IBIT to provide capped upside exposure while offering a degree of downside protection.
Market commentator Luke Martin said the last similarly large inflow into IBIT came before a strong bitcoin advance in August. That precedent does not guarantee the same outcome, but it highlights the attention being paid to ETF flows.
Monday’s activity was concentrated on bitcoin, while ether and solana remained in prolonged withdrawal cycles. The next sessions will indicate whether IBIT’s surge develops into a broader allocation trend or remains a one-day increase in demand.
