A total of 5,067,309 ETH, valued at $12 billion, has been staked through Bitmine’s MAVAN platform and staking partners. That represents 84% of the company’s Ethereum balance.
Bitmine estimated that its staked holdings would generate annualised revenue of $309 million at current levels. That figure could rise to $369 million once the company’s entire Ethereum balance is staked.
The company’s wider assets include 215 bitcoin, a $180 million holding in Beast Industries and a $74 million investment in Eightco Holdings. It also reported $582 million in cash and marketable securities.
Taken together, Bitmine’s cryptocurrency, cash, marketable securities and other investments were valued at $15.1 billion.
Tom Lee, Bitmine’s chairman, said the recent weakness across cryptocurrency markets reflected a broader move by investors to reduce risk. He cited geopolitical tensions, higher bond yields and concerns over AI funding and model safety as factors affecting market sentiment.
“Crypto is widely held in the US, Korea and Taiwan,” Lee said. “So naturally, when investors in those regions de-risk, this creates spillover pressures in crypto markets.”
Ether was trading above $2,400 on Monday, according to The Block’s ETH price page, having risen 0.43% over the previous 24 hours.
Bitmine’s shares closed at $21.66 on Friday, down 7.28%, according to The Block’s BMNR price page.
