Over 80 participants gain hands-on crypto training as part of global Blockchain4Youth campaign
Bitget, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has concluded its Nigeria Community Education Day in Lagos, marking a significant milestone in its Blockchain4Youth initiative aimed at promoting crypto literacy among young Nigerians.
The in-person event attracted more than 80 attendees, offering practical insights into the fast-evolving world of blockchain and cryptocurrency trading. Held as part of Bitget’s ongoing commitment to grassroots education, the programme focused on equipping young people with actionable knowledge and tools to thrive in the digital economy.
The event opened with a keynote presentation that explored the current state of cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria and emphasised the critical role of youth in shaping the nation’s digital finance future. Participants were introduced to various deposit and withdrawal channels, including card payments and peer-to-peer (P2P) options, as well as the company’s merchant programme designed to enhance financial accessibility.
In a statement, Bitget highlighted the day’s hands-on approach to learning, which included live demonstrations of its core trading products such as spot and futures trading, copy trading, and conversion features. These sessions were designed to provide attendees with real-world understanding of how to use Bitget’s platform effectively.
Interactive Q&A segments offered attendees the opportunity to engage directly with platform representatives, while giveaway activities helped boost participation and enthusiasm. The event also featured testimonials from existing users within the Lagos crypto community, who shared how Bitget has enabled them to navigate and benefit from the digital asset landscape.
Following the structured sessions, participants engaged in informal networking over refreshments, sharing insights and experiences while strengthening local connections within Nigeria’s growing blockchain ecosystem.
“This educational event forms part of Bitget’s broader strategy to drive crypto adoption across underserved regions. By focusing on grassroots engagement and technical education, Bitget aims to create new pathways for youth and underrepresented communities to access wealth-building opportunities in the digital,” the statement added.
With Nigeria recognised as one of Africa’s fastest-growing crypto markets, Bitget’s initiative underscores the increasing relevance of blockchain education in driving inclusive economic participation. Through efforts like the Blockchain4Youth campaign, Bitget continues to pave the way for digital empowerment across emerging economies.
