Bitcoin has emerged as one of the most lucrative investment options for 2025, even as the cryptocurrency remains unregulated in Vietnam.
The digital currency achieved a historic milestone in December 2024, with its value surpassing $100,000 per bitcoin on December 5 and peaking at $108,000 on December 17. However, the price dipped to $92,000 on December 20 following a statement by US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, who clarified that the institution was not permitted to own bitcoin and had no intention of amending the laws to do so.
Despite this, bitcoin’s value rebounded swiftly to nearly $99,000 in the closing days of 2024 as institutional investors maintained strong buying momentum. By 10:45 pm on January 4, CoinMarketCap listed bitcoin’s price at $97,680, reflecting a 0.22% increase over the past 24 hours.

Since the start of 2025, bitcoin’s value has surged by 130%, while other digital assets like Ethereum and Binance Coin (BNB) have climbed by 52% and 124%, respectively. Meanwhile, Dogecoin, a popular meme-based cryptocurrency, has skyrocketed by over 300%.
