Remixpoint has sold its entire portfolio of Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Dogecoin for ¥878.81 million, making Bitcoin the only cryptocurrency held by the Japanese listed company.
The sales were completed on 1 September after Remixpoint reviewed market conditions, the risk and return profile of each asset and its wider financial strategy, according to a disclosure published on 2 September. The transactions produced a combined realised profit of ¥117.77 million.
Remixpoint said the move would streamline its cryptocurrency holdings and establish Bitcoin as the central asset in its investment and operational strategy. It expects to record about ¥117 million from the disposals as revenue in its business segment during the second quarter of the financial year ending in March 2027.
The company said it now holds approximately 1,506 Bitcoin.
Ethereum represented the largest sale by value. Remixpoint sold 901.44672542 ETH for ¥353.43 million, against a book value of ¥293.22 million. The transaction generated a realised gain of ¥60.2 million.
Its 13,920.07255868 Solana tokens were sold for ¥227.89 million, compared with a book value of ¥178.58 million. That disposal delivered a further profit of ¥49.3 million.
Remixpoint received ¥260.43 million for 1.191 million XRP, making a gain of ¥11.52 million. Dogecoin was the only asset sold below its book value: 2.802 million DOGE raised ¥37.08 million against a valuation of ¥40.34 million, resulting in a loss of ¥3.26 million.
Together, the four altcoin holdings had been recorded at ¥761.04 million before being sold for ¥878.81 million.
Ethereum and Solana had also generated income for Remixpoint through staking. From 16 July 2025 to 31 August 2026, the company received ¥10.93 million in staking rewards from ETH and ¥18.94 million from SOL. The combined rewards of ¥29.87 million were paid entirely in yen.
Remixpoint had previously pursued a more diversified cryptocurrency strategy. In November 2024, its holdings included Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Dogecoin and XRP. At that point, the company owned 215.76 BTC, while Solana was its second-largest cryptocurrency holding by value.
By December 2024, Remixpoint’s Bitcoin balance had risen to 282.87 BTC after it made another ¥200 million purchase. Its portfolio still included ETH, SOL, AVAX, DOGE and XRP, with the combined acquisition cost of all its cryptocurrency holdings standing at ¥4 billion.
The latest move builds on a Bitcoin-focused policy that had been expanding since 2024. In May 2025, Remixpoint approved an additional ¥1 billion Bitcoin purchase after allocating ¥11 billion to cryptocurrency acquisitions and spending ¥10.5 billion of that sum. The planned purchase would have increased its approved cryptocurrency investment to ¥12 billion.
Two months later, the company announced a financing plan intended to raise about $215 million to increase its Bitcoin exposure. At that time, the portfolio still contained ETH, XRP and SOL, while its Bitcoin holdings stood at approximately 1,051 BTC.
Chief executive Yoshihiko Takahashi further underlined the policy in July 2025 by choosing to receive his salary in Bitcoin. Remixpoint became the first publicly listed Japanese company to pay its chief executive entirely in BTC under the arrangement, converting an amount equivalent to his salary into Bitcoin before transferring it to him.
The company has also generated revenue by lending Bitcoin. Its 2 September filing showed that lending operations produced 14.92055902 BTC, valued at ¥164.22 million, between 24 February and 31 August. Income from lending reached 2.48356398 BTC, worth ¥31.15 million, in August alone.
Remixpoint’s decision comes as other Japanese listed companies develop treasury strategies centred on Bitcoin. Metaplanet held 43,000 BTC after adding 2,823 Bitcoin during the second quarter of 2026. It reported an average acquisition price of ¥15.3 million per Bitcoin, while revenue from its Bitcoin Income Generation business fell by about 41% quarter on quarter to ¥1.747 billion.
In July, Metaplanet completed its ¥2.1 billion purchase of Siiibo Securities and launched Metaplanet Securities, a regulated operation intended to develop Bitcoin-backed bonds and digital credit products.
Remixpoint said the ¥878.81 million raised through its altcoin sales could be used to expand assets in business areas identified for future growth, including grid-scale storage batteries. Other potential uses include strengthening its financial base and taking steps to improve corporate and shareholder value.
