Knowledge possession registration needs to be preserved on chain for at least 30 years, China’s Shenzhen authorities mentioned in a draft proposal of its information property rights registration regime revealed on Monday.

- Below the proposal, information homeowners can declare property rights of their information which have been consensually collected by companies and their derivatives by submitting a registration with the related authorities.
- After registration, information homeowners will obtain a certificates of possession for “information property,” which might be traded within the information market or used as property for financing and accounting functions.
- Final December, China revealed tips to construct a regulated information market, laying out plans for a regulatory framework on information possession.
