Remixpoint has made a net gain of about $742,000 from selling its holdings in ether, solana, XRP and Dogecoin, although the Japan-listed company recorded a loss of roughly $21,000 on Dogecoin.
The firm sold all four altcoins on 1 September after reviewing market conditions and assessing the risk-return profile of each asset. It has now decided to concentrate its cryptocurrency holdings on Bitcoin.
Dogecoin was the only one of the four assets to be sold below its value at the start of Remixpoint’s financial year. Despite the loss on the meme-based cryptocurrency, profits from the sales of ether, solana and XRP left the company with an overall gain of approximately $742,000.
Remixpoint did not provide a detailed breakdown of the individual returns from the other three altcoins. However, its decision to sell the assets means Bitcoin is now the company’s sole remaining cryptocurrency holding.
The company retains about 1,506 Bitcoin, valued at more than $115m based on Thursday’s prices. That holding represents the central part of Remixpoint’s cryptocurrency strategy following the disposal of its altcoin portfolio.
The move comes as the company reassesses the balance between potential returns and the risks associated with holding several different digital assets. Rather than maintaining exposure to a wider range of cryptocurrencies, Remixpoint said it would focus its holdings on Bitcoin.
Dogecoin had been among the assets held by the firm, but its sale produced a different result from the disposals of ether, solana and XRP. The company’s loss on Dogecoin was measured against its fiscal-year opening value, while the combined outcome from all four sales remained positive.
Remixpoint is listed in Japan and has continued to hold a substantial Bitcoin position after reducing its exposure to other cryptocurrencies. Its remaining holding of about 1,506 Bitcoin was worth more than $115m at the prices cited on Thursday.
Market data listed Dogecoin at $0.08, up 0.87%, while Ethereum was priced at $2,395.88, an increase of 1.07%. Those figures provide the latest quoted prices for two of the assets associated with Remixpoint’s cryptocurrency transactions, although the company’s sales were completed on 1 September.
The company’s latest decision leaves Bitcoin as its only cryptocurrency investment and marks a clear shift away from a diversified digital-asset portfolio. Remixpoint’s reported overall gain was therefore achieved despite Dogecoin being the sole losing position among the four altcoins it sold.
